Marine Concepts/Design Concepts said it named John Burgess as its new president.

Marine Concepts/Design Concepts said it named John Burgess as its new president.

"John has worked with our parent company, LPH (Leisure Product Holdings), in the past, where he has focused on process improvement and manufacturing efficiency,” Marine Concepts/Design Concepts CEO Bob Long said in a statement. “We are excited to have John become a part of our team."

The company said Burgess recently was president of American Trailer Works, which has business units that include Carry-On Trailer and PJ Trailers that built products in 11 plants with distribution through big-box retailers and independent dealers.

He previously worked for suppliers that produced cast aluminum wheels for the OEM and aftermarket channels.

The company said Burgess has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles.
