Among the many new-product introductions at the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition & Conference last week was Mastervolt’s presentation of smartphone and tablet wireless interface for its CZone digital switching technology.

The CZone technology simplifies how a boat owner interacts with a boat’s electrical systems, providing the boater full control of onboard circuits. The new CZone wireless interface acts as a hub between Mastervolt’s CZone and MasterBus networks and local Wi-FI devices onboard, providing users with full control of their electrical systems with just a few taps.

“The new Wi-Fi Interface takes your everyday tablet device and interfaces it with CZone and MasterBus for ultimate control at your fingertips. The wireless system brings convenience, and the exact same functionality as the original ‘wired’ system –- it’s ‘one-touch’ to go daytime boating, one touch to turn on the appropriate lighting and devices for evening cruising, and one touch to shut down and much more,” Mastervolt digital switching technology product manager Warren Wright said in a statement.

The CZone wireless interface also integrates the control and monitoring of power products, including battery chargers and inverters. Users can monitor AC and DC power, as well as batteries. The system can be used to monitor tank levels and receive visible and audible alarms.
