Mercury Marine said it appointed Perissa Millender Bailey vice president and general manager of eSolutions.
Millender Bailey previously spent 18 years with Ford Motor Co., where she was global technology strategy and planning director, Mercury parent Brunswick Corp. said in a statement this morning. In that role, she was a leader in electric vehicle technology.
In the new position, she will be responsible for Mercury’s electrification business and product development strategy.
Millender Bailey said she is “thrilled to join the talented team at Mercury Marine and be part of shaping the future of electrification in marine propulsion.”
The company said she will be involved with the Avator electric outboard.
“Perissa is a visionary leader with a proven track record of success in electrification,” said Chris Drees, Mercury Marine president. “We will continue to invest in electrification and have found the right leader to execute on our vision to be the market leader in both conventional and electric marine propulsion.”
