Mercury Marine said it will end its sponsorship of the Fishing League Worldwide tournament angling association at the end of the year.

The company said it will continue to provide service to Mercury-sponsored anglers on the Walmart FLW Tour, the Costa FLW Series and the Bass Fishing League.

Mercury, which said it is a major sponsor of multiple angling associations, has sponsored the FLW since 2011.

“The FLW has been a great partner and we very much appreciate the valuable opportunities they provided Mercury Marine,” Mercury Marine chief marketing officer Michelle Dauchy said in a statement. “But, like all companies, we are continually looking for opportunities to strengthen awareness and consideration of the Mercury brand.

“We have enjoyed working with FLW and its team, and we wish them the best in the future,” Dauchy said. “They work hard to deliver fantastic events for their anglers, fans and sponsors.”
