Mercury Marine rolls out engine warranty promotion

The limited warranty covers engine, cooling system, transmission, drive, fuel system, steering, electrical, power trim and control components.

Mercury Marine announced that 2016 model-year boats powered by Mercury gas sterndrive and inboard engines will come with a comprehensive five-year engine package limited warranty during the “Power of Protection” sale event.

The limited warranty covers engine, cooling system, transmission, drive, fuel system, steering, electrical, power trim and control components for the warranty period.

“Boaters value long-term protection on their boats, like they do on all major investments,” Mercury Marine vice president of sales in North and Central America and Asia Pacific Randy Caruana said in a statement. “Our new five-year engine package limited warranty lets boaters head out with greater confidence, knowing they have Mercury engine protection for years to come.”

Every eligible boat model also comes with Mercury’s industry-exclusive three-year engine corrosion warranty.

“We provide cutting-edge engine performance and reliability for our boaters, so we can also stand behind our products like no one else can,” Caruana said. “Our new five-year engine package limited warranty, plus our three-year corrosion warranty, give our boaters unparalleled engine protection for true peace of mind.”

The five-year “Power of Protection” limited warranty promotional offer is available on model year 2016 Mercury I.Q. Certified Boat Builder models sold to U.S. and Canadian residents. To qualify, eligible boats must be retail sold between July 5, 2015, and July 2, 2016, and registered by July 17, 2016.
