Mercury Marine said it has a partnership with the Inshore Fishing Association as the official outboard sponsor for the 2017 season.

Mercury said it was the IFA’s original marine engine sponsor and it rejoined as the IFA began its season this weekend in Punta Gorda, Fla.

“Having Mercury Marine as a sponsor for the IFA is a great addition to what amounts to a who’s-who list of amazing brands important to anglers and their families,” IFA marketing director Bart Schad said in a statement. “They produce some great engines that will help bring success to IFA anglers, and we appreciate the support they show our anglers and our sport.”

“We are excited to partner with the IFA as they kick off the redfish tournament season,” Mercury Marine chief marketing officer Michelle Dauchy said. “The IFA continues to grow and is an exceptional platform to showcase our innovative products. We are happy to lend our support and look forward to the upcoming season.”
