Raymarine receives potential offer

Raymarine today confirmed it has received a "further approach from a third party, which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the entire issue capital of Raymarine at approximately 3.6 pence per share."

That amount is approximately equal to about 5.4 cents U.S. per share.

The potential offer, from an unnamed source, is at the early stage, the company said in a statement.

Raymarine previously announced in December it was entering exclusive discussions with a single party over the possible sale of its business and assets via a sale of Raymarine Holdings.

It was not expected there would be any value left for ordinary shareholders.

The company said it planned to continue these discussions "in parallel" with discussions regarding the potential offer.
