Seakeeper announces personnel moves

Stabilization technology company Seakeeper hired Giorgio Avigdor for the new position of regional sales manager for southern Europe and Phil Bourque is now responsible for the global management of Seakeeper's largest OEM accounts.

Based in Genoa, Italy, Avigdor is responsible for sales development and management throughout the region.

“Seakeeper is a young and dynamic company. We have many exciting opportunities for growth, both with OEMs and in refit projects," Avigdor said in a statement.

Avigdor was most recently national sales manager for Ultraflex, a global manufacturer and distributor of leisure boat accessories and equipment.

Bourque currently serves as Seakeeper regional sales manager for EMEA and will expand his role with major OEM accounts worldwide.

“Seakeeper has become the industry's leading name for gyro stabilizers, largely due to our education efforts in the global market,” Bourque said. “My new challenge is to nurture partnerships with serial production builders and transform Seakeeper into standard equipment worldwide.”

Seakeeper designs and builds gyros for recreational, commercial and military vessels ranging from 35 to more than 200 feet. The company has more than 120 boatbuilders among its customer base.
