SmartPlug relocates to new marine center
SmartPlug Systems relocated to a larger facility in Seattle, recently added new employees and is developing more products to add to its line, the company announced.
The new office is located in a new marine center development called Salmon Bay Marine Center, located at 2288 West Commodore Way, Suite No. 300, Seattle, WA 98199. The company's phone and fax numbers, as well as e-mail addresses, remain unchanged.
Providing more than 5,000 square feet of office, shop and storage space, the new facility is located about half a mile away from the company's start-up building.
"We're very satisfied with the growth we've achieved so far, from introducing our first products, to ABYC compliance, to moving into a brand new facility," said Ken Smith, CEO of SmartPlug, in a statement. "The fact that we already need a larger space to accommodate our expanding number of employees and products is exciting."
The SmartPlug is a shorepower system designed to replace the standard in use today. It helps prevent loose connections and corrosion, the leading causes of marine fires and electrocution.
