SmartPlug Systems won the Emerging Manufacturer of the Year award from Seattle Business magazine.

The award was part of the second annual Washington Manufacturing Awards. Winners were chosen from dozens of nominations by judges the magazine convened.

“We are so honored to have been selected from approximately 150 entries,” company founder Ken Smith said in a statement. “We have worked hard to revolutionize shore power systems and we're very grateful to be recognized for our achievements.”

The Seattle-based company, which has more than 400 dealers in the United States and Canada, supplies power systems to the marine, RV, electric vehicle and emergency vehicle markets.
