Scott Lane Boat Builders in New Zealand won the SureShade 2016 Dealer of the Year Award.

SureShade said the award and recognition program is designed to formally recognize top boat dealers for sales and service efforts throughout the year.

Scott Lane Boat Builders acts as both a boatbuilder equipping its custom yachts with SureShade’s sunshade systems and as a sales distributor promoting SureShade installations in the New Zealand boating market.

The first boat built by Scott Lane featuring SureShade is the new Zagato Elite Sedan, a 44-foot, coupe-style yacht. The Zagato features SureShade’s ATF Automated Shade seamlessly integrated at the factory so the shade completely disappears into the boat’s cabin top.

As sales distributors, Scott Lane has provided marketing support promoting American-made SureShade products in the New Zealand boating market by securing feature editorial, photography and video reviews in the country’s top boating publications.

“As boatbuilders of custom boats for 18-plus years, many of our clients have asked us for shade systems over cockpit areas,” Scott Lane Boat Builders director Letitia Lane said in a statement. “The SureShade system provides the perfect solution for our clients to protect against our harsh Kiwi sun in New Zealand.”

“Scott Lane has been the ideal partner to help us introduce and expand SureShade’s presence in the New Zealand boating market,” SureShade business leader and co-founder Dana Russikoff said. “Their enthusiasm for our product, combined with their expertise in boatbuilding and factory retrofitting, makes them a true asset for us as we continue to grow internationally.”
