SureShade, a designer and manufacturer of retractable sunshade systems for the marine industry, is now available as a factory-installed option for the new Boston Whaler 285 Conquest.

Starting with the 2012 model, the 285 CQ features a SureShade manual retractable canvas system option that extends canvas from the hardtop, providing boaters with sunshade comfort in the cockpit.

The 285 Conquest is the second Boston Whaler boat model to offer a SureShade retractable sunshade system as a factory-install option. In 2010, the SureShade automated system launched as a factory-install option on the 370 Outrage.

“About 75 percent of our 370 Outrage buyers choose the SureShade automated retractable canvas system as an option,” Boston Whaler buyer/planner Jeff Stern said in a statement. “The response was so great that we are now offering their newest SureShade mechanical system on our 2012 285 Conquest.”
