Suzuki RePower by Mastry hosted a service training session Jan. 20-21 at its St. Petersburg, Fla., headquarters in an effort to meet growing demand for qualified Suzuki technicians,

The company has seven repower centers in Florida.

Jon Ponedel, a 14-year Suzuki service and application engineer veteran, shared his knowledge with 25 technicians through classroom and hands-on training. Students learned rigging procedures, engine setup, diagnostics, maintenance, parts and troubleshooting. Suzuki certifications, warranties and service bulletins also were covered.

"Our Suzuki RePower Centers know the importance of delivering exceptional service, and we're happy to support them with this training," Mastry president Kevin Carlan said in a statement.

At the end of the training session the technicians received Suzuki RePower certificates of completion.

The full line of Mastry marine power will be on display at the Feb. 11-15 Miami International Boat Show at E Tent, Booth E425.
