Torqeedo-powered boats won first, second and third place in the 13th annual Wye Island Electric Boat Challenge in St. Michaels, Md., sweeping the 24-mile race for the second time.

All Torqeedo-powered vessels crossed the finish line after completing the circumnavigation of Wye Island, the company announced.

Torqeedo motors powered five boats this year. First place in the single hull/advanced batteries category went to Capt. Todd Sims and his 11-foot Swiss Cat; Ned Farinholt and his 19-foot purpose-built Speedster took second place; David Borton finished third in his 25-foot Weston Farmer launch.
