Electric outboard manufacturer Torqeedo and the Hobie Cat Company have teamed up to develop new products combining Torqeedo's Ultralight 402 kayak motor and Hobie's kayak designs.

The first product is set for launch in September.

"We're looking forward to working with Hobie in the future and the products we'll develop together," Torqeedo co-founder and managing partner Christoph Ballin said in a statement. "It's only natural for our companies to work together, offering kayakers the best equipment on the market."
