Chris Landry interviewed Suzuki Marine product planning manager David Greenwood after the engine builder debuted five 4-stroke outboards from 15- to 250 hp at a three-day introduction event at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla.

Greenwood explained the differences between these second-generation 4-strokes and earlier models, including the ability to run on a higher grade of ethanol-blend gasoline, their "Lean Burn" technology, which improves fuel efficiency, and the larger displacement of two engines.

It was the largest product introduction for Suzuki since it brought to market its DF300 4-stroke.
