Volvo, NEIT continue partnership

Volvo Penta of the Americas extended its training contract with the New England Institute of Technology through 2010.

NEIT and Volvo Penta have partnered in training since 2004. Instructors from the school's Associate in Science Degree in Marine Technology program have been certified by Volvo Penta to conduct training programs. The instructors, in turn, present these programs to marine technicians who service Volvo Penta products.

Twelve weeklong training programs on a variety of topics will be presented beginning Jan. 4. Subjects include Electronic Gas Control, Electronic Vessel Control C-2, Diesel D3-D12, Sterndrive and Catalyst Gasoline Engine Emissions.
