Webasto hands out top-customer awards for 2016

Defender Industries was named Retailer of the Year and rep group Ocean Marketing won Sales Team of the Year.

Webasto Thermo and Comfort North America said it recognized eight companies that contributed to its 2016 success with Top Customer Awards.

Defender Industries was named Retailer of the Year and rep group Ocean Marketing won Sales Team of the Year.

SeaWide Distributing and rep group Coatney Sales were honored with Outstanding Achievement awards.

Distributor of the Year honors went to ITR Marine, West Marine, Sure Marine and Marysville Marine.

The Michigan-based company annually recognizes independent rep firms, distributors and retailers that excel at driving business, cultivating relationships and delivering superior customer support.

"Many of these fine companies have won Webasto awards for sequential years, illustrating their commitment to our continued success. We are honored to work with such a strong team," Webasto senior director of leisure markets David Wollard said in a statement.

Webasto makes marine air-conditioning and heating systems, control systems and sunroofs for boats.
