The Win-tron Electronics/Contender Boats New York-to-Bermuda Challenge Run is set for July 15-16.

Chuck Arnold, Northeast sales manager for Contender Boats, will pilot the run. His crew includes Edward Winder, president of Win-tron.

"We have set an aggressive target of completing the crossing to Bermuda in 18 to 19 hours, which would beat the current record of 22 hours and 23 minutes by four hours or more," Arnold said in a statement. "To accomplish this, our plan is run at an average speed of 44 knots from the Statue of Liberty to Bermuda - non-stop."

The Challenge Run can be tracked via live updates on Google Maps at a new website set up for the event.
