Yamaha Marine Group announced the appointment of Scott Higgins as regional sales manager for the Midwest division and Ben Mallett as manager of outboard operations and the business planning departments.

Higgins has worked in sales for Yamaha since 2003 as regional sales coordinator and most recently as district marketing manager for part of the southeastern region.

Mallett was promoted to manager of the outboard operations and business planning departments. In his new role, Mallett will provide additional support for key business planning projects and Yamaha Marine’s growing sales structure. Mallett has led both teams as supervisor for the past three years.

“Both Scott and Ben have been strong contributors in supporting the growth of the company,” Yamaha Marine Group president Ben Speciale said in a statement. “We are pleased to have their management expertise in place as we prepare to meet our 2014 growth targets.”
