Yamaha Motor Co. named to S&P Japan 500 ESG

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd has been named as a composite stock for the "S&P Japan 500 ESG." The index was created by S&P Dow Jones Indices, the world's largest financial index production company. Only 256 companies were selected to the index.

Yamaha said in a statement that companies selected for the S&P Japan 500 ESG came from Japanese corporations included in the "S&P Japan 500. The ESG designation is awarded based on how much emphasis each company puts on ESG--Environment, Social, Governance. That includes compliance with United Nations Global Compact principles and the industry ESG score in the "S&P DJI."
