The new ZF 9000 Series transmissions from ZF Marine are ideal for any vessel — including patrol craft, fast ferries, and luxury yachts — that requires compact, lightweight, high-performance propulsion, the company says.

The series is available in several configurations, including parallel offset, down-angle, and V-drive and offers ratios of approximately 1.5 to 5.2. The 9000 series is available with accessories such as trailing pumps and power take-offs. Some models have optional power take-ins to take advantage of ZF Marine's hybrid technology.

"We believe this new transmission series could rapidly become an industry standard given its combination of scalability and performance," said Wolfgang Schmid, general manager, ZF Marine, in a statement. "With 70 years of expertise in Naval, Coast Guard and offshore police vessels, we're equipped to provide optimal propulsion solutions for our customers."
