ZF Marine names new CEO and expands offerings

ZF Marine Propulsion Systems named Daniel Härter its new chief executive and promoted Matthias Benz to head of corporate key account management within the ZF Group.

Härter comes to ZF Marine from ZF’s Industrial Technology Division in Passau, Germany where he previously held the position of Vice President Materials Management. He assumed his new position on Sept. 1.

Today, at the SMM Show 2014 in Hamburg, Germany, ZF Marine Friedrichshafen AG, the marine propulsion systems division of the ZF Group, announced the introduction of the ZF 3300 PTI transmission.

With the launch of the ZF 3300 PTI, ZF Marine Propulsion Systems expands its product offering in its already established hybrid-ready product portfolio. Designed to be powered through standard diesel engine input, or via alternate power source through a Power Take In, the new transmission brings a hybrid-ready solution suitable for all types of high-speed pleasure and commercial applications.

The ZF 3300 PTI is designed with the flexibility to be integrated into a wide variety of hybrid vessel propulsion solutions.

ZF Marine Propulsion also introduced the new workboat transmission family ZF W 10000 at the show in Hamburg, enhancing the range of ToughGear series transmissions.

This new family of transmissions is designed specifically for the commercial craft segment and designed predominantly for the offshore and tugboat markets.
