Engel USA adds new vice president

Engel USA appointed Michael Dixon as vice president of business development.

He will be responsible for sales and marketing, including strategic planning and forecasting and management of the company’s domestic and international sales efforts, as well as the planning and execution of marketing programs. Engel makes refrigerator freezers and high-performance coolers.

Dixon joins Engel, which is based on Jupiter, Fla., after holding executive sales and marketing positions with several prominent marine brands, including Yamaha Marine, Lumitec and Navionics. While at Yamaha, Dixon was in charge of the company’s saltwater promotional effort.

At Navionics and Lumitec, Engel said, he enjoyed consistent success in growing those brands’ market share among dealers and OEM customers.

“Mike’s experience fits our needs to a tee,” Engel CEO Paul Kabalin said in a statement. “While his knowledge of the industry is impressive, so is his intelligence, professionalism and ‘get it done now’ attitude. We’re very happy to have him on our team.”
