Interlux has introduced three varnish products. Perfection Plus is a clear, two-part polyurethane with prolonged chemical and abrasion resistance, excellent UV protection and high-gloss retention.

It can be applied directly to substrate or used with a wood sealer. Schooner Gold, Interlux says, "is the longest-lasting one-part varnish" the company has ever observed. Optimized for application in warm climates, Schooner Gold reduces the need to sand between coats, which saves on labor, time and costs. Compass is a new, fast-drying,  durable one-part polyurethane varnish that goes on quickly and requires sanding after every second or third coat. All three products can be applied to all types of wood, including oily timbers such as teak and mahogany. Retail prices (per quart) are $39.99 for Compass, $47.99 for Schooner Gold and $79.99 for Perfection Plus. Contact: Interlux, (800) 468-7589. www.yachtpaint.com
