Marvairs DiaPrime
Marvair's DiaPrime self-priming pump for its reverse-cycle air conditioning systems eliminates air locks and subsequent air conditioner lockouts caused by lack of water flow, according to the company.
"Frequently, the pump must be purged of air on a boat that's trailered or stored on a hoist and placed back in the water," says Marvair marine product manager Hank Bandy. "Our pump eliminates the time and aggravation of this job." Since it's self-priming, the DiaPrime, which uses a diaphragm-type pump, can be installed above or below the waterline, says Marvair national sales manager Shaun Hall. The pump can be used with Marvair air conditioners up to and including its 16,000 BTUH unit. The unit has a corrosion-resistant nylon housing with stainless-steel hardware and the motor is thermally protected with auto restart and is rated for continuous duty. Call Marvair for pricing.
