Prospec Electronics has a new speaker — the Milennia MILSPK652B — that is not only made to withstand the marine environment but also has an eye-catching modern design, the company says.

“We’re seeing, especially with pontoon boats, that trend toward a little edgier-looking speaker,” says Josh Berry, Prospec Electronics’ special market manager. The speaker is truly a marine product, with a plastic grill, a UV inhibitor and a tweeter built to prevent debris from reaching the voice coil, Berry says. “It’s a completely sealed cone,” he says. The 6-1/2-inch round coaxial speaker delivers a maximum power of 150 watts. Its integrated grill assembly allows for simple installation. The Milennia MILSPK652 — available in black or white — is $69.95 a pair. Prospec products enter the market through distributors, boatbuilders and retailers.
