SP-High Modulus, the marine business of Gurit, has launched PVCell G-Foam, a closed-cell, cross-linked PVC foam that provides a high strength-to-weight ratio for composite boatbuilding, says Joe Summers, Gurit’s head of product management.

Other key features include outstanding chemical resistance, low water absorption and excellent thermal insulation, Summers says. Compatible with most common resin systems, including epoxy, polyester and vinylester, PVCell G-Foam comes in a range of densities, including G60, G80, G100, G130 and G200, with all standard cut patterns and finishes possible. Pricing information is available from sales representatives. Gurit is based in Zurich, Switzerland, but has a U.S. office. Contact: SP-High Modulus USA, (401) 396-5008, www.gurit.com/marine
