C.I.Agent Solutions’ Spill Response Bag is a complete system for hydrocarbon cleanup on water or land.

Small enough to be stashed in a dock box or kept near a fueling station, a standard kit contains a 12-foot reusable deployment boom, 10 pounds of C.I.Agent granules in half-pound dissolvable pouches, a reusable 12-by-12-inch Bilge Bag, a garbage bag and heavy-duty gloves. C.I.Agent is a non-hazardous blend of food-grade polymers that encapsulates and solidifies hydrocarbons on contact, turning them into an inert, rubber-like mass that can be recycled. The polymers can clean up a variety of fuels, including gasoline, oil and diesel. “It’s basically a fire extinguisher for the response to the spill,” C.I.Agent response manager Tom Downs says. “The kit will contain and solidify 5 gallons of fuel.” A standard kit retails for $420. Use of the product requires training, which is provided at no additional charge. Contact: C.I.Agent Solutions, (866) 242-4368, www.ciagent.com
