Oxe Diesel Outboards to Feature Glendinning Controls

Diesel Outboards, the chief U.S. distributor of Oxe diesel outboards, said Glendinning Products will supply control systems for its line of engines.

Conway, S.C.-based Glendinning’s range of propulsion system controls — including the ProPilot joystick control, ProPosition dynamic positioning and Genesys control heads — will now be matched to Oxe diesel outboards.

“Glendinning has built an industry reputation for providing the most proven and innovative engine control systems for all applications, [and] their products have long been used in some of the most demanding marine segments,” Diesel Outboards president Douglas Natoce said in a statement. “We can now offer all users that same level of joystick operation along with secure, safe, dynamic positioning operations through dynamic station-keeping capability for Oxe diesel outboards.”

Last year, Oxe Marine said that its outboards will be built in the United States, the company entered the Chinese and South American markets, and it partnered with BMW to provide engine blocks for its 200-hp power plant, which it will co-brand with the automaker.

“We are excited to be partnered with such a professional company that approaches business the same way we do [and] look forward to our efforts in integrating these advanced and highly successful control systems,” Glendinning said.
